2025 Remembrance Day Service

Remembrance Day Service at 9.15 am Sunday 09 November 2025.

In the Holy Trinity church at the corner of Herbert &Seaview Streets, Dulwich Hill, and then afterwards in the church hall for morning tea.

The service will include thanks for those in our local area who have served in past wars and conflicts, and to those who are still serving in the Defence Force.

The  address will be given by Army Chaplain Tracey Sutherland, followed by three short stories from the roll of honour, the Ode and the Last Post. The laying of wreathes will not be part of the service.

At 11am on the 11thNovember 1918, the guns fell silent on the Western Front in Europe, to bring the First World War to an end.  First remembered as Armistice Day, and then as Remembrance Day, the 11th of November each year is a reminder of the sacrifice that Australians made to defend the freedoms we enjoy today.  Like so many places in Australia, Holy Trinity Anglican Church Dulwich Hill has a roll of honour of those who served in the First World War.  The Anglican tradition is to conduct a Remembrance Day service on a Sunday near to the 11th November.

Service medals can be worn, medals of family or friends are worn on the upper right hand side.
